The future of the school

Hollywell Primary School Academy status

Following the consultation for academy conversion, which ran between 7th January and 6th February 2019, the governors have agreed to join East Midlands Educational Trust (EMET).

Hollywell Primary School is now an academy and has joined the trust to which The Kimberley School and other local primary schools in our family, are part of.

Having received the Academy Order some time ago (in July 2017) our journey has been long, however the Secretary of State, Damien Hinds, agreed to the conversion date of 1st March 2019. He is delighted that:

“Your academy will now have the opportunity to use the freedoms and flexibilities of academy status to share best practice and work with others to bring about sustained improvements to all schools in the area. I would like to thank you for your commitment and wish you every success in the future.”
